What Occasion Dresses to You Offer?
We have two options:
ONE
The dresses found via the link below are available in standard sizes from 4-22 and a come in a around 15-20 colours depending on style. Average price: £170 per dress. You cannot make changes to the style/design in any way.

TWO
Option two is to have your own unique dress made. We work with you to design a bespoke dress. Your dress is made to your body shape (for example bust size 10, waist size 14, hips size 12), and we offer a large selection of colours (excluding ivory) and fabrics. Typically chiffon, satin or taffeta. Prices start from £450.

Either option will require alterations.

How Long Will My Order Take?
The majority of our non-bridal dresses take around 3-4 months to make. Rush service available.

What is the Process?
After your initial appointment, if you'd like to go ahead with your order, we require a 50% deposit. The balance must be settled before your first fitting.

We will contact you to arrange your first fitting. You will need to bring the shoes and underwear you'll be wearing to the event.

Your fitter will discuss alterations needed and provide a quotation (you are under no obligation to have Velvet Birdcage undertake your alterations).

You will then return at an agreed date and unless further alterations are needed, you will leave with your fabulous dress!

Will I Need Alterations?
Yes. Our dresses are available in standard sizes, so will certainly need to be altered.

For bespoke dresses, we use your bust, waist, hips, and length measurements as a guide only - this is not made to measure, although is designed to get a closer fit than ordering a standard size. For example, your bust might be closest to a size 10, your waist a 12 and your hips a 14. You might also gain or lose weight, which will mean your dress will need to be altered locally. Alterations are not included in your dress price.

Do You Offer Discounts?
Unfortunately we don't offer discounts for buying more than 1 dress.
